How Fort Bragg keeps the Covenant
Recreation Contact Joe Johnson: 907-4343 To continue offering the highest quality fitness opportunities to Fort Bragg families, MWR's Recreation Division will add additional fitness equipment (15 spinning bikes, 20 tread climbers, 20 steppers) to PFCs, increase funding for more fitness & aquatic programs, instructors and competitions, expand hours of operation and offer advantages such as discounted fees for bowling and golf.
Education Contact Brenda Taylor-Brooks: 432-ARMY Education Services is prepared to answer the employment challenges of military spouses on Fort Bragg by funding education, training or certification/licensing necessary for a profitable career.
Child & Youth Services Contact Karen Miller: 396-1951 Group care is provided for mandatory deployment meetings, FRG meetings and memorials. Other measures include hourly respite care, part-day/full-day care discounts, free instructional classes and sports activities, and new/improved facilities.
Army Community Services Contact Barbara Trower-Simpkins: 396-8682 ACS is offering expanded resource libraries for FRGs, the Army Integrated Family Support Network (AIFSN), Military Family Life Consultants, more satellite offices, EFMP respite care and a New Parent Support Staff. New initiatives include New Unit Service Coordinators, a Harvest Food Bank (AER), National Endowment for Financial Education (teens), Gold Star Program, Soldier & Family Assistance Center, EFMP Special Needs Camp and Enrichment Programs, Community Readiness Fairs and assistance with home-based employment.
