Celebrate the birth of our great Nation in style with the Fort Bragg 4th of July Celebration.  Good food, activities for the entire Family, fabulous entertainment and an amazing fireworks show make it a fun-filled day for everyone.  The events begin at 3 p.m. at the Fort Bragg Parade Field.  Enjoy the entertainment of country music artist and Dancing with the Stars contestant Julianne Hough beginning at 5 p.m.  Country music national recording artist, Jason Michael Carroll will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. following the Golden Knights freefall parachute demonstration. The “Concert in the Sky” fireworks show will begin shortly after 9:30 p.m..  Come out early and celebrate July 4th with Fort Bragg MWR.

Get your competitive juices flowing, Ladies!  GI Jane returns on Saturday, July 11.  This women’s only day will showcase events in canoeing, biking, horseback riding, paintball, skeet shooting and a nature walk.  This outdoor experience embraces Fun Factor.  A picnic lunch will be provided and prizes will be awarded in various categories.  The fun will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Smith Lake.  Registration is required.  Spaces are limited so get signed up early to ensure your slot in the 2008 GI Jane Camp.  The cost is $30.

Ardennes Neighborhood Center.  SGT I. Mike's puppet show was created as a tool for service members and their children to communicate about deployment issues.  The facilitator and puppets work through these issues by using a light hearted approach and involving the children in the script.
