Wireless Internet
Wireless Internet is very easy to connect to and learn how to use. It is assumed that to use this service, you will bring a personal laptop computer in to Sports USA.  Your laptop must be equipped with an internal or external wireless card to gain access.
 There are three basic steps to connect:

  1. Launch your browser.
  2. Connect to SSID: Wireless Escape (case sensitive)
  3. Purchase the plan for you or enter your existing user name and password.

Your WiFi plan travels with you.  You can access your plan at many other locations including Ft.Benning, Ft.Carson, Ft.Gordon, Ft.Irwin, Ft.Leonardwood, Ft.Lewis, Ft. Sam Houston, Ft. Shafter, Ft.Sill, Ft. Stewart and Lackland AFB.  Additionally, this plan has many roaming partners.  Partners like AT&T WiFi serve places such as Major Airports, Barnes & Noble and McDonalds.  You can find more information about our partnership locations here.

You can use these machines to play games against other people around the world as well as surf the internet, use myspace or youtube.  They can also be used to create, edit and print Office documents.  With the available webcam you can even send picture and/or video email.  These machines are located in Sports USA and Dragon Lanes.  Currently we offer approximately 50 games preloaded on each unit.  These include the popular World of Warcraft, Halo, America's Army, Battlefield, Battlefield 2: Special Forces, and Unreal Tournament.  We also have several family games for families or younger children to enjoy. We are constantly loading popular games as they become available to us and removing ones that show little or no interest.  You have the option to play alone, with others in the location or with any one of the numerous game groups around the world

How much does Wireless Internet Access cost if I bring my laptop?

When I buy time on the MPOG is the same as buying time on the wireless internet at Sports USA?  No, these are two separate programs.  However we deploy them in conjunction as they compliment each other.

What does MPOG mean? Multi Player Online Game.  You can use these machines to play games against other people around the world as well as surf the internet, use myspace or youtube.  They can also be used to create, edit and print Office documents.  With the available webcam you can even send picture and/or video email.

How much does it cost to use an MPOG?  Currently they are $7.00 per hour (roughly $0.12 per minute).  The minimum you can purchase at any one time is $1.00 worth of time.

Can I use these hours at any facility? (Sports USA and Dragon Lanes)  No, not yet. We are working to network these machines, but until we do you will have to activate separate accounts at each facility.

Can I print things out off this computer? Yes, printers are available at each facility.

Does it cost extra to print?  Yes, $0.15 per page.  This is deducted from your remaining account balance and will decrease your time.

Will I be restricted in surfing the web?  Yes, adult erotic sites are filtered.  Also, in order to restrict possible virus infections you will be unable to download files to the computer.

Do you have any family friendly games?  Yes, we are currently offering Bejeweled 2 and Zuma, with more to come.

Is there a time limit?  No, your time is limited to the hours of the facility and common courtesy if other patrons are waiting.

Is there an age limit to use these machines?  No, neither the facility nor ARMP has any age restrictions on usage.  However, if younger patrons wish to use the services we encourage parents to monitor their activities.
