Video Messenger Sign-Up
11am-8pm Mon-Tues;10am -6pm Fri-Sun, Throckmorton Library. Deploying soldiers can sign up to use a Video Messenger Unit to create a free DVD or VHS message for their friends and family. Call or visit the library to schedule an appointment. POC is Phil Quinones or Mike Yellen. 396-2665 x103.

Story Time: 

 

Effective December 12:  The Story Time at the Library program is cancelled.  This program will resume it's regular schedule starting January 14, 2009 from 11 am - 12 pm.   

Wednesdays at 11 am.  Spend some time exploring the world of books with your child and meet other parents.  It's free of charge and open to all children between the ages of pre-school and 6 years old.  Storytime runs from August to May each year.

Library Policies:

Borrowing: Use of the library is not restricted; however, borrowing privileges are limited to the following: Military Personnel assigned to Fort Bragg/Pope AFB and their family members; Retired Military Personnel in the Fayetteville Area and their family members; Civilian employees (APF & NAF); Red Cross and AAFES Employees on Fort Bragg.

Loan Time: All materials except DVD’s are checked out for a period of three (3) weeks. DVD’s are checked out for a period of 1 week.

Renewals: You may renew materials that are not on reserve for another patron. Call (910) 396-BOOK to renew non-overdue books over the phone.  You may request renewals via email, Phillip.Quinones@us.army.mil.

Items may be renewed only once.

Overdue notices:  Overdue notices are send every other week via e-mail or postal mail.  A response is required; failure to comply may result in suspension of your library privileges and/or your being sent a statement of charges.  

Lost or Damaged Materials: Lost or damaged materials must be reported and restitution must be made in accordance with AR 735--17, Accounting for Library Materials.

Returns: Outside book return is available at all times. The Library’s Book Drop is located on the wall next to the library entrance. All library materials can be returned through the book drop.

Interlibrary Loan: Patrons can place requests for up to three interlibrary loan materials at any one time. A valid library account is required. Three items at any one time may be requested. The John L. Throckmorton Library does not place ILL requests for Audiovisual materials, bestsellers, textbooks or test preparation materials.

Cell Phone Policy: Be courteous and turn off or place your cell phone on vibrate.  Conduct your conversation in the library's entrance or outside.  Thank You.
