"Military Families First" Weekend May 9-11
Cultural Connections Program Honors Military Families

Fayetteville  -  Several special events and programs throughout greater Fayetteville on May 9-11 honor our military, their families and their contributions to the community.  Entitled “Military Families First” the program is an initiative of the Cultural Connections marketing task force, which is dedicated to collaborating on marketing and promotional products to present the offerings of our community to military and civilian residents and the travel public. 

According to the Cultural Heritage Tourism strategic plan, one of the marketing task force’s objectives is to promote greater Fayetteville to the military population.  Military Families First was organized to help fulfill that objective.  While task force members developed events specifically for this weekend, many were already planned.
