Schools that operate as a Title I program are federally funded programs that provide assistance to the school serving students from high-poverty backgrounds. The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law requires that all schools make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in improving student achievement. If test results show that a Title I school does not not make Annual Yearly Progress, the following options are available:
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) are tutoring programs outside of regular school hours that are provided by independent service providers. Your child may qualify for these additional services if:
View a list of Supplemental Education Service (SES) Providers. The school district is not responsible for providing materials, technology, or staff to deliver the supplemental services. Transportation to and from the SES site will be the responsible of the parent or guardian. Please keep in mind SES tutoring is limited. If necessary, priority will be given to the lowest performing students who are eligible to participate. |
