LTG Frank Helmick Visits EE Smith HS - Posts Experience on Facebook Did You Know: Some Soldiers with high school aged children previously voiced to CSM Rice and me some concerns about E.E. Smith. We visited today and I think everyone should know what we personally observed.
CSM Rice and I had a chance to tour the school and to talk with the students and the Principal, Mr Robinson.... We also visited some of the classrooms completely unannounced. What we saw and heard was an impressive, quiet, and disciplined learning environment.
I am convinced E.E. Smith is doing all the right things - the faculty, staff, and students were friendly, the school was spotless, the principal knows his students and the students know him (That alone is a telling indicator).
Mr. Robinson invites any Parents who want to see for themselves to visit – completely unannounced is OK. I guarantee you will like what you see.

E.E. Smith Continues on the Path to Excellence (BY REGINALD ROGERS - PARAGLIDE)Change has come to E.E. Smith High School and it is good. After years of wearing a some¬what unfair stigma of being called one of Fayetteville’s worst schools, the students at E.E. Smith can wear another title — achievers.

The test consists of various sub¬jects that are predetermined by state education officials, who use the scores as a measuring stick in determining the progression of a school’s curriculum throughout the school year.
