Back to School Fair
Don't forget to attend the Back to School Fair on July 7, 2009 at the Tolson Youth Activities Center.  Get ready for school with Youth Education Support Services.  Free Give-Aways, resources, information, school supplies and more! 

After School Transportation for E.E. Smith HS
Starting in the 2009-2010 school year, Fort Bragg, Family and MWR will begin providing free after school transportation for 9th grade Albritton Junior High School Students and current E.E. Smith High School students residing on Fort Bragg.  Students will be transported to and from after school activities such as tutoring, sports and other extra-curricular activities.  The after school bus transportation will be provided by Fort Bragg Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS).  All students must be registered with CYSS to receive transportation and registration is free. [ Read more ]

Teen Soldier For A Day.
If you have a teenage child and you would like for him/ her to experience what it's like being a Soldier, register them for Teen Soldier For A Day! Teen Soldier For A Day is on August 11, 2009, and will take them through jump tower training, PT, drill and ceremony, engagement training and more! High School Financial Planning Class - August 12
ACS and CYS is offering a Financial Planning Class for high schoolers.  Classes offered include "Your Financial Plan", "Making the Most of Your Money", "Investing" and much more.  To register, call 910-396-2507 or 910-907-5044.

Reminders for High School Financial Planning Class Registrations:  Participant will have to submit an Application prior to the day of the day of the event.  There will also be a Media and Internet Consent form. All participants will meet at the Army Community Services (ACS Wing B Classroom) 8:55 AM on August 12, 2009. “Sign-in” will occur between 0855 – 0900 AM. Students will be participating in physical activities, please make sure the student is wearing: Comfortable casual clothing. No cell phones during Sessions.  May be used during breaks. NEW CUT-OFF DATES FOR KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT!
According to House Bill 150 (Every Child Ready To Learn), new cut-off dates for Kindergarten enrollment has been set starting school year 2009-2010.  For all North Carolina public schools, the child must be age 5 (five) by August 31.  However, for Fort Bragg (DDESS) Schools, the child must be 5 (five) by September 1.  (Download the Fort Bragg School Support Services House Bill 150 Flyer)

TUTORING FOR READING/COMPREHENSION/AND ENGLISH MASTERY
SKIES is now offering tutoring for Reading/Comprehension/English Master on Fort Bragg.  Classes start in March and tutoring is available on either Tuesdays or Thursdays between 5:15PM - 8:15 PM.  There are 4 x 60-minute classes per session for $60.  Registration for Military youth may be completed at Central Registration at the 4th Floor, Soldier Support Center.
