Sylvan Learning Center will be part of this school years (2009-2010) Supplemental Educational Services programs for Cumberland County Schools. What this means is that in partnering with the Federal Programs, we are providing 30 hours of FREE tutoring for students that receive free and reduced lunch in several schools in Cumberland County for the 2009-2010 school year for the schools that did not meet their adequate yearly progress (AYP). Again, the students that qualify for the free tutoring are those students that currently receive free or reduced lunch. Following are the schools that will participate in the program:Alderman Road Elementary, Ed Baldwin Elementary, T.C. Berrien Elementary, Lillian Black Elementary, Brentwood Elementary, Elizabeth Cashwell Elementary, Cliffdale Elementary, C. Wayne Collier Elementary, J.W. Coon Elementary, Cumberland Mills Elementary, Cumberland Road Elementary, Ferguson-Easley Elementary, Gallberry Farm Elementary, Howard Hall Elementary, Lake Rim Elementary, Manchester ELementary, E.E. Miller Elementary, Morganton Road Elementary, William H. Owen Elementary, J.W. Seabrook Elementary, Sherwood Park Elementary, Lucile Souders Elementary, Sunnyside Elementary, Warrenwood Elementary, Alger B. Wilkins Elementary, Margaret Willis Elementary, Douglas Byrd Middle, Ireland Drive Middle, Nick Jeralds Middle, Spring Lake Middle, Scurlock Elementary, Sandy Grove Elementary, and Hawk Eye Elementary. There are a couple of enrollment periods, now until October 16th, and January 11th through the 29th of 2010. If anyone has any questions, Call the Sylvan Learning Center at 910-323-2116. |
