Youth Leadership Conference

The Fort Bragg Youth Education Support Services (YESS) program hosts an annual Youth Leadership Conference on Fort Bragg, NC.  This conference is designed to assist youth between the ages of 13-18 in developing leadership skills that will instill a spirit of community within them.

The first day of the conference will provide students with the opportunity to identify and discuss issues affecting the quality of life for military-connected youth.  Youth will discuss, debate, negotiate, and finally collaborate to come to a consensus on the top three issues affecting military-connected youth in the Fort Bragg/Pope AFB area.  Day one is open to military connected youth only.

The second day of the conference will consist of a series of workshops designed to assist youth in developing a greater awareness of themselves and will touch upon various social, emotional, physical and general well being issues affecting youth.  The workshops on the second day are open to non-military connected youth on a first come first served basis.  The workshops are hands on and interactive and presented by subject matter experts.   Participants are expected to remain on site throughout the entire conference.
