This facility offers year-round skating not only as a form of exercise, but as an affordable and constructive family leisure activity. It is the only ice rink year round within a 60-mile radius that provides year-round ice skating. This facility has a comprehensive ice skating program to include open skating, group and private lessons, figure skating clubs, parties (schools, units, and special interest groups), and private ice rental. This facility is easily accessible for both military and civilian patrons.

Public Ice Skating Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. $3 includes skates
Tuesday 3 p.m.-5 p.m. $2 includes skates
Friday 7:30 p.m.-10 p.m. $4 admission, $1 skate rental
Saturday 3 p.m. -5:30 p.m. $4 admission, $1 skate rental
6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. $4 admission, $1 skate rental
Sunday 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m. $4 admission, $1 skate rental

Children age five and under skate for $1 except for Tuesdays. For more information, call 396-5127.

Learn to Skate

Group lessons are conducted in six-week semesters. Classes for ages four and up are typically held on Monday evenings from 5:30-6:30 and 6:30-7:30.

Next Group Lesson Semester begins 8 Oct 2007
Registration: 17 Sept-5 Oct 2007, 9 am-6 pm, Cleland Ice Rink. $60 per student/semester.

Holiday Special Group Lesson Semester 26 Nov - 10 Dec 2007
Registration: 29 Oct-23 Nov, 2007. 9 am-6 pm, Cleland Ice Rink. Three weeks consisting of Tot lessons and special concentration classes. $30 per student/semester.

Private Lessons

Private ice skating lessons are available at Cleland Ice Rink. Call 396-5127 for registration and price information.

Open Hockey Times

Adult Stick Time (Open Hockey Scrimmage) is available every Thursday 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and Sunday 8 – 10 p.m. for hockey players of at least eighteen (18) years of age. Full equipment is required to include a helmet with at least a half shield for facial protection.

Skate & Shoot is available every Tuesday 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for hockey players of all ages to work on their fundamental skills. Full equipment is highly recommended.

Broomball is available to supplement physical fitness program for units on Fort Bragg. Broomball may be scheduled Tuesday-Friday mornings from 6:30-7:30 and 7:30-8:30 for $10 per hour.

Effective 1 Oct 2007 units or groups must schedule broomball ice rentals at least 72 hours in advance.

Racquetball/Wallyball courts

Authorized ID cardholders may use courts free of charge on Mondays 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday – Friday 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., and on weekends 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.. Reservations for Wallyball courts can be made 24 hours in advance. Court hours may be extended by the ice rink activity schedule. Call ahead for further information.
